School Council

The School Council is an important part of school life at Northbury. In September each year, elections are held in every class to choose two representatives who pledge to attend School Council meetings in order to contribute to the improvement of the school.

At these meetings, the staff actively seek the pupils’ views on the school’s current position (educational and environmental) and are open to their suggestions for improvements and future developments.

The school council is managed by Mr Taylor and Mrs Ffrench and they meet with the school councilors twice every half term. The councilors do a brilliant job of bringing issues/ideas which are then discussed within the meeting.

The Chair and Vice Chair has termly meetings with the Headteacher to discuss ways in which the school could be further improved.
