This half term in Year 6, the theme is “Bombs Come Knocking.”

Students will explore World War 2, with a focus on the Battle of Britain, to understand why it marked a significant turning point in British history. They will also study the locations of the countries involved in the war—the Allies and the Axis Powers—and learn why these alliances were so crucial. In a sensitive and age-appropriate way, we will also introduce the story of Anne Frank and the Holocaust, while examining the roles of various groups during the war, including women.
